HYROX Training in Montreal

Running and accessible functional movements, in a paced, structured format. Whether you're aiming for a competition or simply the benefits of the method, we take you further.

HYROX at PRO1 Montreal

HYROX at PRO1 Montreal combines running and accessible functional movements in a paced, structured format.

Whether the goal is to prepare for a competition or simply enjoy the benefits of this training method, our sessions build cardiovascular endurance, strength and the ability to sustain a prolonged effort — without being limited to those nine movements alone. Exercises, loads, distances and intensity are adapted to each person's level.

  • Targeted training — every session brings you closer to the real format.
  • Accessible to all levels — top 10 or simply finishing.

02 · Race prep

HYROX in Quebec — ready for your first race?

HYROX is booming in Quebec, and more and more PRO1 members are entering competitions. Our coaches prepare you for the race you're targeting: focused programming, internal half-HYROX challenges and progression tests so you know exactly where you stand.

The Quebec scene is growing fast: official simulations, half-HYROX series and training communities are appearing across the province, from Quebec City to the South Shore. Until Montreal gets an official race, these events are the best way into competition — the calendar below gives you the next dates.

And the prep is concrete: programming blocks aligned to your race date, simulations at official weights, race strategy — pacing, transitions, the Roxzone. You'll be in good company: Josée Bélanger, coach and co-owner at PRO1, finished 1st in Duo Pro (women 35-39) at HYROX Ottawa in 2026.

What members say about HYROX

  • « I'm a huge fan of the Hyrox classes and absolutely love training at CrossFit Pro 1 with Roch, Chloe, and the rest of the team. They're super friendly, highly professional, and always make me feel safe. They also take the time to explain everything we need to know before each workout. »

Frequently asked questions

HYROX — your questions

What is HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness race with a standardized format: 8 km of running, broken up by 8 functional exercise stations — SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, rower, Farmers Carry, sandbag lunges and Wall Balls. The same format everywhere in the world, so you can compare your results from race to race.
HYROX vs CrossFit — what's the difference?
CrossFit constantly varies the movements (weightlifting, gymnastics, metabolic conditioning) while HYROX repeats a fixed format focused on running and functional endurance. The two complement each other very well — many PRO1 members do both. If you like measuring yourself against a standardized format, HYROX is for you.
Do I need to be fit to start HYROX training?
No. Our sessions build cardiovascular endurance, strength and the ability to sustain a prolonged effort — but the exercises, loads, distances and intensity are adapted to each person's level. Whether your goal is a competition or simply the benefits of the method, you start where you are.
Are there HYROX races in Quebec and Canada?
Yes. On the calendar: HYROX Toronto (October 1–4, 2026), HYROX Vancouver (December 18–20, 2026) and HYROX Ottawa (April 21–25, 2027), after a first Ottawa edition in May 2026. There's no official Montreal race yet, but simulations and half-HYROX events run in Quebec all year. Our coaches prepare you specifically for the race you're targeting, with internal half-HYROX challenges to test your progression.Official calendar on hyrox.com →
Is there a HYROX race in Montreal?
Not yet — there's no official Montreal race. The closest Canadian races are in Toronto and Ottawa, and an official simulation is held in Quebec City. Half-HYROX events also run in Quebec through the year — and our internal challenges give you a real race test without leaving the gym.
How long does a HYROX race take?
Most participants finish between 60 and 90 minutes; the world's elite go under the hour. Your time mostly comes down to your pacing over the 8 km of running and how efficiently you move through the Roxzone transitions.
What is a half-HYROX?
The same format as a HYROX race at half the volume: 4 km of running and all 8 stations with reduced distances and reps. It's the ideal first competition — demanding enough to be a real test, accessible enough to enjoy.
