CrossFit Classes in Montreal's Southwest — Adapted to Your Level

Complete functional training: strength, cardiovascular conditioning, gymnastics and weightlifting — in a safe, inclusive and motivating environment.

01 · The method

CrossFit at PRO1 Montreal

CrossFit at PRO1 Montreal is a complete functional training program combining strength, cardiovascular conditioning, gymnastics and weightlifting. Every session is led by experienced coaches who adapt the movements, loads and intensity to each person's abilities, goals and progression — a safe, inclusive and motivating environment.

Every class starts with the PRO1 SYSTEM — a unique mobility and activation routine — to move better, perform better and reduce injury risk.

Our core principle: progress is built on technique, consistency, then intensity. You compare yourself to yourself first and build your capacity gradually.

02 · The basics

What is CrossFit, exactly?

CrossFit is constantly varied functional training, performed at an intensity relative to your capacity. In practice: natural movements — squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, running — combined into short, measurable sessions that are never the same two days in a row.

The method builds all 10 physical skills: cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. That's what makes it complete physical preparation — useful in sport and in everyday life.

Two words of vocabulary and you're set: the WOD ("workout of the day") is the day's training, shared by the whole group; the box is what a CrossFit gym is called. And every WOD scales to your level — same workout, different loads and options, from complete beginner to competitive athlete.

03 · What you build

Complete, well-rounded fitness

Strength

Squats, pulls, presses — solid foundations that serve you everywhere.

Conditioning

Cardio that builds session after session, without monotony.

Gymnastics

Body mastery: pull-ups, handstands, core control.

Weightlifting

The Olympic lifts, taught progressively and safely.

04 · Beginners welcome

Never done CrossFit? Perfect.

You don't need to be fit to start — that's exactly why we train. Adaptation happens within every session, and for beginners the On-Ramp program offers 1 to 3 private sessions, depending on the package, to master the fundamentals and mobility before joining group classes.

Torn between formats? CrossFit pairs very well with HYROX and HIIT — all included in the unlimited plan.

05 · Your coaches

Coached by athletes who've been there

At PRO1, CrossFit classes are led by coaches who've lived the sport at the highest level — and who spend their days adapting it to every level.

Frequently asked questions

CrossFit — your questions

Is CrossFit suitable for beginners?
Yes. Every session is led by experienced coaches who adapt the movements, loads and intensity to each person's abilities, goals and progression. You start where you are, in a safe, inclusive and motivating environment. The On-Ramp program — 1 to 3 private sessions depending on the package — is also available for beginners.
I'm training over 40 — is CrossFit for me?
Absolutely. A large share of our members are 40 and over. Individualized adaptation within every class lets you progress at your own pace, and each session starts with a mobility and activation routine (PRO1 SYSTEM) to reduce injury risk.
CrossFit or HYROX — which should I choose?
CrossFit constantly varies the movements and builds complete fitness; HYROX repeats a standardized format focused on running and functional endurance. Many members do both — and the unlimited plan includes both formats. Come try, we'll help you choose.
What does a CrossFit session look like at PRO1?
60 minutes: mobility and activation (PRO1 SYSTEM), coached technique or strength work, then the workout of the day. Class sizes are small, so the coach sees and corrects every person.
How much does CrossFit cost in Montreal?
At PRO1, the flagship plan — unlimited 12 months — includes all group classes (CrossFit, HYROX, Midi HIIT and PM HIIT) plus all-day Open Gym. Pricing is available on request: write to us or come for your first visit and we'll confirm the plan that fits you.See pricing and schedule →
Where are you located, and is there parking?
2221 Rue Pitt, Montreal (H4E 1A2) — at the corner of Saint-Patrick and Pitt, on the edge of Verdun, in the lot where the old water tower still stands. Private 20-spot parking lot, plus plenty of free street parking.
What is a WOD?
The "workout of the day": the day's training, shared by the whole group. Every WOD scales to your level — same movements, different loads and options — which is how a beginner and an experienced athlete train side by side in the same class.
Is CrossFit dangerous?
Not when it's properly coached. At PRO1, every class starts with the PRO1 SYSTEM (mobility and activation), groups are small, and progression always follows the same order: technique, consistency, then intensity. Loads and movements are adapted to each person — you never lift a load you're not ready for.
